Fern Davies

Suzy Drane

Bethan Dyke

Kyra Jones

Nia Jones

Chelsea Lewis

Sarah Llewelyn

Kelly Morgan

The squad announcement comes as Julie Hoornweg joins Wales as Interim Head Coach. Rosie Pretorius, Welsh Netball’s Head of Performance shared her thoughts on the announcement.

She said: “We are extremely proud of this group of players and the hard work and dedication they give to the sport. It was a tough selection and the long squad really pushed each other to raise their game and fight for their places.”

“These athletes are great role models, all whom have full time jobs, or are studying full time and dedicate so much time and effort to their intense training and match schedules. These players sacrifice so much and to be able to represent your country at a Commonwealth Games is the pinnacle of their netball careers which they all deserve.”

“With a new management team and invigorated outlook, we know the squad will make us proud. We know our passionate and committed netball community will get behind the team and cheer them on across the pond. Good luck Team Wales!”

Helen Phillips, Chair of the Commonwealth Games Wales Board said:

“Today’s squad announcement is another exciting and important step in Welsh Netball’s preparations for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Congratulations to all the players who have made it to the final squad. They will no doubt be looking forward to representing their nation with pride in Australia this April. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to Julie Hoornweg as Interim Head Coach, and wish her and all the team at Welsh Netball, the very best with the final preparations for the 2018 Games.”
