National Academy Trials are Now Live!

National Academy trials -are taking place on the 19th and 20th of February!

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to represent Wales Netball! Make sure you apply to trial before the 16th of February at midday!

 

To be eligible for National Academy trials you must:

Be aged between 15-21 years of age, and in addition you must either;

1.Be part of one of our Regional Academies, and have been nominated to attend National Academy trials by your Regional Academy Head Coach

OR

2.If you are eligible to play for Wales, but are not in any of the seven Regional Academies, because you are already involved in a high- performance netball environment (i.e., International age-group level; university level; English Premier League; VNSL franchise, or NPL franchise) you can apply directly to trial for the National Academy. You can do this via the Sport 80 system, using the following link (Sport80)

 

The National Academy trials will take place on:

  • Saturday 19th of February for under 17s
  • Sunday 20th of February for under 21s
  • Time: 10:00-16:00
  • Venue: Sport Wales National Centre (SWNC) in Cardiff.

 

Athletes who are selected for the National Academy following the trial, will need to be available on the following dates for National Academy training:

  • 27th March – Deeside Leisure Centre. Deeside
  • 24th April – Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff
  • 22nd May – Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff
  • 25th June – Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff
  • 24th July – Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff
