Welsh Netball Recommends Community Netball ‘Pause’ for Christmas Holidays

After reviewing the latest government guidelines and the reduced self-isolation period (now 10 days from 14) we recommend that community netball ‘pauses’ in Wales on Monday December 14.

This means that should anyone need to self-isolate, they would be able to complete the 10 day isolation period before Christmas Eve. This is suggested to help protect netballers and their families and friends with whom they intend to spend Christmas. Clubs can then resume training from Saturday 2 January (pending any lockdowns).

We trust that clubs will take a sensible approach to training over the coming weeks. This suggestion has been made as we continue to put the health and safety of our participants first. We want those that celebrate Christmas to have a safe and enjoyable festive period with loved ones.

As a Governing Body we have postponed age group Celtic Dragons training to ensure the protection of players and workforce involved. Please note, the Celtic Dragons Superleague squad fall into the professional category so are exempt from this and will continue to train.
