On Friday 10 July, the First Minister Mark Drakeford announced upcoming changes to COVID-19 restrictions in Wales. Welsh Netball is considering the implications of this latest announcement for netball activity in Wales.
For now, in line with our published Return to Play roadmap, netball in Wales remains in Stage 1. This means that all netball activity remains suspended. You can see our Return to Play infographic and accompanying advice here.
We will be considering the content of the latest announcement and seeking clarification on its effect on netball as an indoor team sport. We wish to establish a clear understanding of what ‘minimal contact means’ from Welsh Government and to also assess the impact of social distancing measures on netball activity.
We thank you all for your continued patience and adherence to the Return to Play roadmap as we work together to make a safe journey back to netball.
