Glamorgan Valleys Win U16 Inter Area Title

On Saturday 1 February, teams from across the country came to Cardiff to contest the Inter Area competition for the Under 16 age group. The competition was heavily subscribed with both ‘A’ teams and ‘B’ teams taking part. After a busy day of netball, it was Glamorgan Valleys A who took the overall title, going undefeated across the day. In the ‘B’ team section, it was North East Wales B who took top spot.

Tori Burt Roberts, Welsh Netball’s Events and Competitions Officer said: “It was an exceptionally busy day of inter area competition and so I am very grateful for the assistance of all our volunteers and officials, who once again helped us put on a great show. Congratulations to both Glamorgan Valleys A and North East Wales B, I know a lot of hard work and preparation goes into the day from all players and coaches.

Welsh Netball’s next national competition will be the Under 14 Inter Area competition taking place on 15 March 2020 at Bangor University. The deadline for entries is 14 February and the deadline for team lists is 28 February.
