Squad for Wendy White Series Against Samoa Announced

Welsh Netball is pleased to announce the squad to face Samoa in the upcoming Wendy White Series on 5 & 7 December. It will be the first time that Wales has hosted Samoa at home and the first meeting between the two sides since the 2011 Netball World Championships. Suzy Drane, who featured in the 2011 squad along with Cara Lea Moseley, captains the squad for the series.

Samoa meanwhile have safely arrived in the UK where they will begin the first half of their tour against Scotland this weekend. They will then be heading to Wales, battle-hardened for what promises to be two mammoth clashes ahead of January’s World Cup qualifiers.

Tickets are still available, though proving very popular, for the Wendy White Series. Head to www.ticketline.co.uk/welsh-netball to purchase. It will be the last chance to see Wales in action before the squad jets off to Australia for the Commonwealth Games in April.

Wales squad:

Suzy Drane (C), Fern Davies, Bethan Dyke, Kyra Jones, Nia Jones, Sarah Llewelyn, Cara Lea Moseley, Eleanor Roberts, Georgia Rowe, Christina Shaw, Leila Thomas, Amanda Varey.
