FleetEV National League 2025 Round Up

The 2024/25 season marked the third thrilling year of the FleetEV National League – and what a spectacular season it was! Wales Netball proudly delivered four action-packed competition days across Bangor, Swansea and Cardiff, with record-breaking ticket sales and two sell-out venues

The FleetEV National League continues to grow as a unique platform for adult players across Wales to compete at the highest community level. With eight National League Teams, each with their own name, colours, and venues, this season saw an incredible 138 players and 34 coaches, managers, primary carers and support staff representing their teams with pride.

Season Highlights

The action began at Bangor University, where some new and returning faces settled into the National League environment and fans were treated to eight intense games. By the end of Round 1, City Flames, North East Inferno, and Valley Volcanoes all sat at the top of the table with unbeaten records. A sell-out crowd created a buzzing atmosphere, matched by 8.8K live stream views from supporters across Wales

In June at LC Swansea, the intensity only grew. From the opening game, the day was packed with excitement. High-stakes matchups between table rivals set the tone for the day, with fans packing out the venue. Swansea really bought the noise with over 200 people cheering on our incredible athletes and management teams.

The season finale arrived in Cardiff in August with a jam-packed weekend of back-to-back battles. Day 1 on Saturday 2nd saw team consolidate their standings showcasing skill, teamwork and tenacity across the board. Day 2 on Sunday 3rd saw the remaining league games play out in the morning which set the stage for dramatic placing matches – and they did not disappoint.

From the overall league placings, we saw the following games:

Game 5 – 7th & 8th – West Wales Phoenix V Powys Sparks

Game 6 – 5th & 6th – North West Fury V South East Blaze

Game 7 – 3rd & 4th Coastal Heat V City Flames

Game 8 – 2nd & 1st North East V Valleys Volcanoes

Each game saw an electric atmosphere from the first whistle, big battles on court were happening at a fast pace. Every game delivered fast-paced action, outstanding skill, and unwavering determination, a real masterclass in composure and pure talent.

Powys Sparks sealed their first win with a hard-fought goal for goal game against West Wales Phoenix. South East Blaze took the win over North West Fury in another gripping battle. Coastal Heat displayed their team work with the win over City Flames. Whilst North East Inferno fought to the very end to retain their title as FleetEV National League winners over a resilient Valleys Volcanoes.
