FleetEV National League Team Powys Sparks Announce New Partnership with Bute Energy

We at Wales Netball are delighted to announce that Bute Energy will be the Team Sponsor of our newly created FleetEV National League team Powys Sparks.

As one of the green energy industry’s leaders in the fight to tackle the climate emergency, Bute Energy is dedicated to harnessing the power of wind energy through the development of renewable energy parks. By leveraging the potential of wind turbines and wind power, Bute Energy’s goal is to create a greener, more sustainable future for Wales. This initiative will not only drive economic growth but also empower rural communities, including those in Powys, by creating thousands of jobs and supporting community initiatives.

About the partnership, Bute Energy Community Investment and Communication Director Catryn Newton said “Bute Energy are proud to be partnering with Wales Netball in the creation of Powys Sparks. With a number of our proposals for renewable energy parks being in Powys, this partnership aligns well with our goals of empowering communities and creating new opportunities for the people of mid-Wales. We’re so excited to see how the Powys Sparks get on in the National League this season, we hope that this partnership will inspire more women and girls to not only participate in sport, but to engage with our activities and overall mission to get more women and girls engaging in STEM subjects and industries like the growing renewable energy sector in Wales!”

About the new partnership Wales Netball CEO Vicki Sutton said “It is brilliant to have Bute Energy on board as the team sponsor for the Powys Sparks. The FleetEV National League is moving into its second season and being able to add a team from Powys with the support of Bute Energy has enabled us to get the League to a place where it truly covers the entire country. Bute Energy are very passionate about making Wales a better place and the sustainable manner of their work is something we are really pleased to be aligned with”.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for both Powys Sparks and the FleetEV National League, powered by Bute Energy’s unwavering commitment to green energy and female empowerment.   Follow Bute Energy and Wales Netballs social channels to keep up to date with Powys Sparks’ journey in the league.
