Glamorgan Valleys Win 2019 Under 16s Inter Area Competition

On Sunday 27 January, Welsh Netball hosted the 2019 Under 16 Inter Area Competition in Bangor where teams competed across two pools for the title of Under 16 Welsh champions. 

In Pool A it was Glamorgan Valleys who came out on top, beating Cardiff & Vale in second place. Meanwhile in the second division, it was Cardiff & Vale who topped the pool, with North East Wales in second spot.

Welsh Netball Events and Competitions Officer, Tori Burt-Roberts spoke about what was a thrilling and busy day of netball in Gwynedd. She said: “It was fantastic to have so many teams in Bangor for our Under 16s Inter Area Competition. It was really great to see so many spectators getting behind their teams and contribute to a vocal and exciting atmosphere!” 

She added: “I would also like to thank all of the volunteers, coaches and umpires for helping to make the day possible. I enjoyed working with them and together we put on a competitive competition that will aid the development of these talented young netballers.”

Welsh Netball would like to thank all teams for their participation and congratulate Glamorgan Valleys A and Cardiff & Vale B on their respective victories. Welsh Netball’s next National Competition will be the Under 14 A&B Inter Area
