Gower College Regional Academy Spotlight

Next in our series of Regional Academy spotlights, we are looking at Gower College Regional Academy and what they have been up to so far this season!

About the Gower College Regional Academy

The Gower College Regional Academy has an U15 and U17 squad and is based at Tycoch Campus, Swansea. These squads are led by Head Coach Leah Harvey and supported by Assistant Coach Sophie Morgans.

Leah Harvey (U15/17 Head Coach):

The U15s and U17s Gower College Regional Academy have been working extremely hard. So far, we’ve focused on drilling the basics: footwork, passing and movement into our sessions. We’ve covered 3 stages of defence, circle rotation and hitting the circle edge in their specialist areas. We’ve also done a sports psychology session focusing on goal setting and understanding our motivations.

Gower college have been amazing and given access to all their facilities, including their S&C gym. The girls have been working hard following a programme and tracking their fitness improvements with weekly testing.
