Masters Championship 2025

On the 19th of January we hosted our inaugural Masters Championship at House of Sport, Cardiff! Ten teams consisting of players 35 years old and upwards from across Wales took to court, on what was a fantastic day of heated competition and amazing sportswomen ship! Tough battles were fought right through to the final, where Central Netball Club came out champions, and Dinas Netball Club finishing in a close second place.

We would like to honour all the teams and individuals for their performances throughout the day’s competition. Brilliant netballers showed great teamwork, with most coming together from a mixture of clubs to represent as one. The skill on court and determination from all provided an incredible day of netball. Each team were helped and encouraged throughout the day by their fantastic coaches, team managers and spectators, this created an exceptional atmosphere, and we are already looking forward to this competition becoming a yearly offer on our National Competitions calendar!

Congratulations to all squads that attended, and a further well done to the winners, runners up and most valuable player!

Winners: Central Netball Club

Runners Up: Dinas Netball Club

Third place: Penarth Netball Club

Most Valuable Player: Ceri Walters (Central Netball Club)

Winners – Central Netball Club
Runners Up – Dinas Netball Club
Most Valuable Player – Ceri Walters (Central Netball Club)

Finally, we would like to express a huge thank you to all for their dedication and support, to the talented umpires that were selected from across Wales, the House of Sport staff team for a brilliant day of competition, and Megan Monk for coming down to photograph the event. We wouldn’t be able to organise such an amazing event without them all!

We hope everyone had a great day and we can’t wait to see who comes out on top next year!
