National Academy Tournament ahead of LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons Arena fixtures

The excitement is building as Wales Netball’s National Academy squads prepare to compete in the National Academy Tournament ahead of the upcoming LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons NSL fixtures, at the Utilita Arena, in Cardiff. Fans are in for a treat with a full day of high-performance netball action, starting with the National Academy Tournament which will feature the best young talent from across Wales, in a round-robin tournament and finals.

The National Academy tournament will showcase the skills of our U15, U17, U19, and U21 National Academy Teams across the two-day tournament taking place on the 8th and 15th of June at the Utilita Arena. This is the first-ever National Academy Tournament to be held marking a significant milestone for Wales Netball’s Performance Programme. The tournament will provide the coaches and athletes with an invaluable experience of performing in an arena setting, and competing to win the inaugural National Academy Tournament title. The tournament will also provide a platform for our selectors to see the athletes who are eligible for selection into the Wales U21 Squad that will compete in the U21 World Youth Cup Qualifiers this September in Cardiff.

The National Academy Tournament timings are below:

Saturday, 8th June (U17/19/U23s)

– Time: 9:30am – 4:15pm 

Saturday, 15th June (U15 & Finals Day)

– Time: 10:00am – 3:15pm
