Netball in Wales back to normal from Saturday 7 August 2021

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that from Saturday 7 August, netball will return to normal, both outdoors and indoors in Wales, and we couldn’t be happier!

Following the announcement today (Friday 6 August) by Welsh Government, netball can now return to normal, and we wave goodbye to the modified rules.

Thank you

After a challenging 18months, can we firstly take this opportunity to thank our teams, our partners, our clubs, members, and anyone else who has supported Welsh Netball along the way. We’re so grateful to have such brilliant people on the journey with us.

Some safety measures will remain off court to ensure the wellbeing of our participants, and we will provide more details early next week.

Next steps

Leagues are planning for a return of winter activity, and while this is very exciting for everyone, please be patient with them over the coming weeks as they finalise it all, and we’ll share the details soon.

Please note that affiliations will open Tuesday 24 August and we’ll have a new membership system launching for the 21/22 season so keep your eyes peeled for those!

Thank you to everyone who has put the safety of their members first and followed the restrictions outlined. We’re looking forward to a fantastic season of both domestic and international netball in 21/22 and can’t wait to share it all with you!
