North East Wales Win Under 18 Inter Area Competition

On Sunday 19 January, Welsh Netball hosted its National Under 18 Inter Area Competition at Bangor University. Ten teams from across the country took part in the competition and on this occasion it was North East Wales A who came out on top, with Cardiff & Vale A finishing as runners-up.

Speaking after the first competition of 2020, Welsh Netball’s Events & Competitions Officer Tori Roberts-Burt said: “It was a great start to the new year of competitions with some really competitive games and a very enjoyable day of netball. Thank you to all of the umpires, coaches, players and spectators who came to support the tournament and congratulations to North East Wales A.”

The final placings of the competition were as follows:

1st PlaceNorth East Wales A
2nd PlaceCardiff and Vale A
3rd PlaceGlamorgan Valleys A
4th PlaceNorth West Wales A
5th PlaceWest Wales A
6th PlaceSouth East Wales A
7th PlaceGlamorgan Valleys B
8th PlaceCardiff and Vale B
9th PlaceWest Wales B
10th Place South East Wales B 

Welsh Netball’s next National Competition will be the Under 16’s Inter Area Competition taking place on Saturday 1 February at House of Sport in Cardiff.
