Julie Allen, formerly Davey, became Welsh Feather 111 when she earned her first cap at the 7th Netball World Cup in Scotland in 1987, making her international debut against Bermuda on 16 August. During the tournament, she played in 10 more matches, facing teams such as Malaysia, the Republic of Ireland, Cook Islands, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, and Sri Lanka. Julie was part of the squad for two World Cups and also competed in the 3rd World Games, an event for sports not included in the Olympics. She later played in the 8th World Cup in Australia in 1991, where she featured in four matches, meeting new opponents like Western Samoa and Singapore.
