Leanne Pownall (nee Phillips) is Welsh Feather #134 and earned her first cap playing in an International against South Africa on 03/10/1994, then going onto play Internationals against England, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland before being selected to play for Wales in the 9th World Cup hosted by England in 1995. In the World Cup Leanne played 8 games against the countries: Bermuda; Western Samoa; Antigua & Barbuda; Papua New Guina; Singapore; Cayman Islands; Hong Kong and Northern Ireland. Leanne then went onto play more Internationals against New Zealand and Northern Island, then playing in the 1998 FENA Open against Northern Island, Malta and Scotland.
