Mair Jones (nee Evans) is Welsh Feather #141 and earned her first cap playing an International against Jamaica on 11/11/1996, she then went on to play various Internationals against the countries: England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand and the West Indies. After this Mair was selected to represent Wales in the 16th Commonwealth Games hosted by Malaysia in 1998 where she played the Cook Islands, South Africa, New Zealand, Malawi and Sri Lanka. Mair then played an International against England before playing in the 1999 FENA Open against Malta, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England, leading to her being selected to play for Wales in the 10th World Cup hosted by New Zealand in 1999 where she played a huge 12 games against the countries of Vanuatu, Scotland, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Barbados, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Trinida & Tobago, Canada, Singapore, United States and Canada again! The 2000 and 2001 FENA Opens are next for Mair where she was able to played against new oppenent Guernsey. Mair was then selected for the Welsh team in the 17th Commonwealth Games hosted by England in 2002 where she played Sri Lanka, England, Canada, New Zealand, Jamaica and her final game against South Africa on 02/08/2002.
