Joanna Blanks (nee Griffiths) is Welsh Feather #152 and earned her first cap playing in the 10th World Cup hosted by New Zealand in 1999 playing a game against Vanuatu on 21/09/1999 and then played 6 more games in the competition against New Zealand, Barbados, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago and Canada. Joanna then participated in the 2000, 2001 and 2002 FENA Open’s against countries like Malta, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Guernsey before playing an International against Barbados on 12/03/2002. After this, Joanna was selected to play for the 17th Commonwealth Games hosted by England in 2002 and was able to play against Sri Lanka, England, Canada, New Zealand, Jamaica and South Africa. After this was the 2004 FENA Open, then an International against South Africa, then the 2005 FENA Open where she played new opponent the Isle of Man and her final game against Scotland on 20/05/2005.
