Gemma Evans is Welsh Feather #153 and earned her first cap playing in the 2000 FENA Open against Malta on 25/02/2000, cotinuing to play in the 2001 and 2002 FENA Opens where she was able to play against countries like England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Guernsey. Gemma was then selected to represent Wales in the 17th Commonwealth Games hosted by England in 2002 and played games against Sri Lanka, England, Canada, New Zealand, Jamaica and South Africa. She then played in an International against Scotland before competing in the 2003 FENA Open, this led into Gemma being selected for the 11th World Cup hosted by Jamaica in 2003 and being able to play against St Vincent, Cayman Islands, Sri Lanka, Antigua, Bermuda, Scotland and her final game against St Vincent again on 18/07/2003.
