Player Bio

Sara Moore (nee Hale) is Welsh Feather #160 and earned her first cap playing in the 17th Commonwealth Games hosted by England in 2002 against Sri Lanka on 26/07/2002, then going onto play England, Canada, New Zealand, Jamaica and South Africa throughout the competition. Next up Sara played 2 Internationals against Scotland before playing in the 2003 FENA Open against Northern Ireland, Scotland and England. She was then selected to represent Wales in the 11th World Cup hosted by Jamaica in 2003 where she played St Vincent, Sri Lanka, Antigua, Bermuda, Scotland and St Vincent again. Up next came the 2004 FENA Open, then an International against South Africa, then the 2005 FENA Open against new opponent Isle of Man, then an International against Jamaica, then the 2006 FEMA Open before the 18th Commonwealth Games hosted by Australia in 2006 where Sara played against Australia, Samoa, Jamaica, Singapore, Barbados and South Africa. After this was the World Cup Qualifier games against Scotland and Northern Ireland. In 2007 Sara played an International against South Africa and was then selected for the 12th World Cup hosted by New Zealand where she played against New Zealand, Malaysia, Malawi, Fiji and Trinidad & Tobago. Her next games were played in the 2008 and 2010 Netball Europe Open Championships against England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, then 2 more World Cup Qualifier games against Scotland and Northern Ireland before the 2010 Nations Cup where Sara played against Namibia, India, Scotland, Singapore and Tanzania. Sara then played in the 2011 Netball Europe Open Championships before being on the team for the 13th World Cup hosted by Singapore in 2011 where she played against Trinidad & Tobago, New Zealand, Fiji, Botswana, Samoa and Fiji again, afterwards there was the Wales Open with 3 games against Scotland and then the 2012 Netball Europe Open Championships before the 2012 Tri-Series where she played against Cook Islands twice and Scotland once. In 2013 Sara played in the Netball Europe Open Championships again and then in 2014 played in the Northern Cup against Singapore, Scotland and then her final game was against Scotland on 27/02/2014.

Sara Moore played Goal Keeper, Goal Defence and Wing Defence and was from Cardiff. Out of 81 games Sara drew 1, won 46 and lost 34, which is a win rate of 56.79%

Sara has had an illustrious netball career, playing for the Welsh Feathers as well as in the Netball Super League with Celtic Dragons (now known as Cardiff Dragons), then going on to becoming the coach for the Welsh Feathers and finally becoming the Head of Performance for Wales Netball!
