Christina Shaw is Welsh Feather #204
Christina received her first cap in October 2017 at Netball Europe, but hasn’t just played as a Welsh Feather. She started playing netball in school and for Risca Netball Club at the age of 9. When she turned 14 she was selected for the Wales U15 Squad after proving herself in the South East Wales County and HUB teams. Christina has represented in every single one of our age groups – U15, U17, U19, U21 and is a current Welsh Feather!
As well as playing in NPL teams like Junior Dragons and Team Bath, in 2016, Christina began her academic career studying Biological Sciences at the University of Exeter. While studying, she was captain of the 1st Netball team for four years! Still not satisfied, Christina has also represented Celtic Dragons (now known as Cardiff Dragons), Wasps Netball and Saracens Mavericks franchises in the Netball Super League!
One of Christina’s career highlights was gaining her first cap at the 2017 Netball Europe held in Cardiff, as well as being selected for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Christina played Goal Keeper and Goal Defence and was from South East Wales.
