Safeguarding Training

It is vital that everyone playing netball in Wales plays their part in safeguarding and protecting children, young people, and adults at risk.

In 2022/23, we reached out to Club Safeguarding Officers to start or continue their individual journey within their club, and to ensure they are trained to the appropriate level to support their members and concerns.

Our training plan has changed as UK Coaching are now delivering Time to Listen courses for Safeguarding Officers, and we have created the plan below for you to find the relevant training for your role. We encourage everyone in netball to educate themselves, whether they are a Club Safeguarding Officer, Coach, volunteer, member, parent or carer, to ensure that everyone in netball is in a safe, supportive and happy environment.

To start your learning journey today, we recommend visiting the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) and Ann Craft Trust’s website to ensure you are trained to the appropriate level for the role you undertake in your club. Click the links below to find out more!
