South Africa Name Squad for Wales Tests and NWC2019

Ahead of the Welsh Netball Summer Tests in July, South Africa have named their squad which will travel to Wales ahead of the 2019 World Cup in Liverpool.

Norma Plummer’s squad features a number of familiar faces from Celtic Dragons’ Vitality Netball Superleague season, including captain Bongi Msomi from Wasps, Maryka Holtzhausen from Severn Stars and Shadine van der Merwe from Surrey Storm. The Spar Proteas recently recorded a significant victory against Commonwealth Games champions, England and are being tipped by many for success in the World Cup.

Netball fans in Wales will have the chance to see the Proteas before anyone else. Tickets are on sale for the two tests against South Africa where the winning team will take the Wendy White trophy.

Tickets can be purchased here from as little as £7. Two day passes (with a 20% discount) are available for both South Africa games.
