What time should I arrive?
The games begin at 7.30pm with doors opening at 6pm.
Can I bring food and drink to the games?
Please don’t bring your own food or drinks to the game, there are plenty of bars serving fast food, soft drinks and alcohol for you to enjoy. There are also vending machines selling snacks and soft drinks. No alcohol will be permitted to be brought in from outside IAW.
Do you take credit cards?
The bars inside IAW are all cash only so we do advise you take out some cash before you arrive. There is a cash machine at Morrison’s across the road.
Can I buy merchandise?
Yes! We have lots of items including t-shirts, netballs and souvenirs on our stands at IAW. We do advise that you bring cash with you for the fastest service.
Is there anything else I cannot bring into the Ice Arena Wales?
Please don’t bring any glass or metal containers. Bag checks will be in operation so please make sure you are not carrying anything that could be classed as a weapon or dangerous to others.
What about banners and signs?
You may bring banners to support your team but please do be mindful of blocking the view of those behind you! We ask that banners, signs and clothing do not carry any offensive messages, swearing, obvious sponsorship or political messaging. We reserve the right to ask any ticketholder to cover clothing or banners that may be deemed inappropriate by the site team.
Is anything else happening?
After the game on Wednesday there will be a presentation ceremony. We do hope you will stay for the ceremony, but please do tell someone you may be later if you are being collected.
Where do I park?
IAW does have ample parking but there is inevitably a backlog of traffic at the end of games. We advise that you use public transport where possible and utilise the surrounding car parks as they will be easier to exit from. The area around IAW will be stewarded so please do follow their advice when parking. As this event is so popular we do expect traffic to be quite heavy so please do bear this in mind when travelling to and from the game.
Where can I drop someone off?
If you are arriving in a bus or coach, please head for the layby directly at the front of IAW. A steward will assist you in dropping off. You should then park the bus/coach in the International Pool car park.
If you are dropping off in a car, then we advise that you do so in one of the store car parks close by. There are pedestrian crossings around the Ice Arena Wales, for your safety please do make sure these are used and do not cross against the lights.
Where can I pick up?
If you have parked a bus or coach, then we please ask that you gather your group and make your way together on foot back to your parking space. There is no facility for pick up in coaches at the end of the games.
If you are collecting someone then we please ask that you park in one of the store car parks close by to wait. Parents – please walk to collect any teenagers that may be at the game without you to avoid them losing their way or crossing busy roads alone at night.
Please note there is no facility to wait at a pick-up point outside IAW.
