To Celebrate UK Coaching Week Wales Netball and eCoach Launch new online Training Platform

This UK Coaching week, we are delighted to release our new training platform in partnership with eCoach.

The coaching platform is designed to deliver training and education to coaches, players, and the general netball workforce. This new platform creates a dynamic-learning environment which will develop and expand the pool of skilled coaches, volunteers, and workforce across Wales, helping Netball to grow bigger than ever before! We’re delighted to be able to offer a discount on courses to our membership.

Our launch offering includes ‘Essential Netball Rules’, ‘Essential Netball Skills’, and ‘First Aid Awareness’ which is designed to increase First Aid provision within clubs and schools. Additionally, the Accelerate Sport module ‘Promoting Period Dignity in Sport’ will also be available on the Wales Netball platform from day one, exploring the important issue of promoting period dignity within sport.

E-coach have built a reputation as a provider of high-quality impactful e-learning for sports and public sector organisations.

These modules provide basic knowledge in dealing with a range of issues and understanding First Aid responsibilities as a coach or volunteer. These particular courses sit prior to the existing Netball Leaders and Intro to Umpiring courses providing a basic introduction of the Rules and Skills involved in the game of Netball.

Director of eCoach Simon Richards said: At eCoach we’re incredibly excited to be launching this powerful training platform with Wales Netball. Not only will the platform revolutionise Wales Netball’s training offer, for their member, but the online courses we’ve created will help upskill the next generation of coaches and umpires.’

“This is just the start,” said Simon; “We’re excited to be able to also offer our Accelerate Sport catalogue of courses on the platform in the near future, providing Wales Netball and their membership with a huge range of online training modules on a range of key topics.”

Wales Netball’s Head of Operations Laura Milford said “We’re excited to launch our new e-learning platform for both our members and those who are introducing themselves to the sport. The platform will forever evolve, allowing us to expand the resource and learning library, delivering netball related content at all levels covering coaching and umpiring, offering courses that support key areas such as equality, anti-racism, safeguarding, mental health and much more. We’re looking forward to working with eCoach and supporting our members and future members on both their netball and professional learning journey.”
