U16 National Club Championships 2025

Wales Netball proudly hosted the U16 National Club Championships 2025 at House of Sport, bringing together the top 16 clubs from across the country for an unforgettable showcase of young netballing talent.

After some hard-fought regional competitions, the national finals delivered high-intensity matchups and electric performances, reflecting the rapid growth and rising standard of netball across Wales. A huge congratulations goes out to every team that qualified – your determination, teamwork, and skill were on full display.

From the opening whistle, the championship was packed with excitement. Eastside, Dinas Devils, Pontypridd, and Mold all cruised through their pool stages undefeated, setting the stage for an exhilarating knockout phase. Close-fought quarter- and semi-final encounters kept spectators on edge, highlighting the depth of talent in Welsh youth netball.

The Cup Final saw a gripping North-South battle between Dinas Devils and Mold. With home advantage and a relentless drive, Dinas Devils delivered a netball masterclass to claim the title with a commanding 16–8 victory. Meanwhile, in the Plate Final, Merlins edged out Ser Y Cwm in a tightly contested showdown, winning 18–14 and demonstrating impressive composure and spirit throughout.

Individual brilliance was also recognised, with standout performances across both competitions.

  • U16 Cup MVP: Alex Turner (Mold Netball Club) – A tenacious and technically skilled defender who inspired her team with unwavering effort.
  • U16 Plate MVP: Lily Jones (Merlins) – A composed and consistent presence who led by example during the tense final moments.

Wales Netball extends heartfelt thanks to all coaches, team managers, and club volunteers whose dedication made this event a resounding success. To the parents, families, and supporters who packed the stands and cheered on every pass and shot – thank you for creating such an uplifting and vibrant atmosphere.
