U16 National Club Championships

Last weekend (Sunday 17th March), Wales Netball hosted the U16 National Club Championships at Sport Wales National Centre, hosting 16 teams who had qualified from across Wales as the best in their regions.  

A huge congratulations to all the teams who qualified for the National Final, and a further congratulations to the winners, runners up and players of the tournaments from each category! 

The esteemed event displayed some incredible talent from all participants who took to court. A big thank you to all coaches, team managers and club volunteers for making the day such a success, and for providing unwavering support to all players. A further thank you to all the spectators and supporters who travelled down, your cheers created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.  

The final tournament positions are as follows:

U16 CUP:

WINNERS: Eastside Junior Netball Club

RUNNERS UP: Merlins Netball Club

MOST VALUED PLAYER: M. Crew (Eastside)

U16 PLATE:

WINNERS: Bridgend Bolts

RUNNERS UP: Cwmbran Youth Netball Club

MOST VALUED PLAYER: L. Kilburn (Bridgend Bolts)
