Under 12 and Under 14 Club Competitions Take Place in Bangor

On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May, Welsh Netball’s National Club Competitions took place in Bangor, Gwynedd. Teams from across Wales gathered at Prifysgol Bangor University to participate in both cup and plate finals, having qualified via regional tournaments.

In the Under 12s competition, it was Gilfach Netball Club (Caerphilly county) who came out on top, with Eastside (Cardiff) finishing as runners-up. In the plate, Pengam (Caerphilly county) were the winners with Llantwit Faerdre (Rhondda Cynon Taff) coming second.

On the second day it was the turn of the Under 14s to compete for the cup and plate. The winners were Deeside Dominoes (Flintshire) with Penarth Netball Club (Vale of Glamorgan) came second. The plate winners were Aberavon (Neath-Port Talbot) with Newbridge (Caerphilly county) in second spot.

Welsh Netball would like to thank all of the clubs and their volunteers for helping to put on a fantastic weekend of netball competition in Bangor. Our thanks also go to the umpires and officials who helped make the day possible.
