Vicki Sutton Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Wales Netball

Wales Netball are pleased to announce that it has completed the recruitment process for its new Chief Executive Officer role. After a multi-stage process with an outstanding field of candidates, we are pleased to have appointed Vicki Sutton to this significant role.

Vicki has held leadership roles in multiple organisations throughout her career, including Welsh Rowing and establishing her own consultancy business. More recently, Vicki has been the Head of Growth here at Wales Netball and her leadership and vision has really shone through since her return to the organisation. Vicki has a wide range of knowledge and understanding that spans areas including community development, performance support, governance, safeguarding and strategic thinking.

Speaking to Chair of Wales Netball Catherine Lewis about Vicki, she said “We are really pleased to appoint Vicki as our new CEO. We ran a rigorous recruitment process and we had some outstanding candidates but Vicki stood out.”

“Her impressive background in Welsh sport and her knowledge of the community game are key attributes which will serve her well in the new role as Wales Netball drives forward with its new strategic plan.”

“Her leadership skills will be very important for the National Governing Body as we continue our progress in the ‘new normal’ and continue to innovate in how we serve our members.”

Whilst the pandemic rumbles on, we look forward to Vicki steering us into a new era of netball in Wales. Vicki will begin her role on the 23rd of November.
