Volunteer of the Month

After Volunteers Week at the start of the month, we will be celebrating our community volunteers every month with a new ‘Volunteer of the Month’ segment on our website and across social media.

For our first Volunteer of the Month, we have picked someone who has had a massive impact on the community.

This person not only runs three leagues (Swansea Netball League, Swansea Youth Netball League, and the West Glamorgan Senior League), she has also voluntarily organised regional tournaments for years, is a Technical Official Manager at Celtic Dragons Netball Super League matches, she manages the Technical Officials desk at Dragons pathway Curtain Raiser Matches, supports the continuous training of new Technical Official volunteers and Stats Collation, has helped initiate the new Live STAT collation at Netball Super League games, and coordinates other Technical Officials. If there is a course in her area she helps with liaising with the facility, organises additional equipment if needed, as well as organising additional participants for match play.

This amazing volunteer is none other than Wendy Pressdee!

Wendy helps out at local and national events as much as she can and never complains. Wendy always has a smile on her face and will talk to everyone she meets. She is passionate about the sport whether its at a grassroots level or the Welsh Feathers and is a massive asset to the sport.

Wales Netball’s Volunteers of the Month will be announced on the last day of each month, with an article going on our website and post going out across all social media channels.

If you would like to nominate your coach, an umpire, or someone who helps your netball club and the wider community, complete the nomination form using this link – https://forms.gle/fREqFRkPFyHnoPRn6
