Wales Netball enter into a new partnership with Play Netball

We are excited to announce a new Partnership with Play Netball, the UK’s leading provider of social netball leagues. Play Netball operate over 150 leagues across the UK – from Glasgow to Norwich to Cornwall – and are hoping to create more opportunities across Wales for a diverse range of women to pull their netball trainers back on! Their leagues are ideal for those who haven’t played in a long time and are looking for somewhere that focuses more on the fun and social side of the sport.

Together we will work to identify locations across Wales where adult netball opportunities are currently sparse, bringing new social playing options to communities with demand. The collaboration aims to make netball more accessible, enjoyable and empowering, ensuring everyone has the chance to get involved and experience the joy of the game.

Keira Edwards, Head of Participation at Wales Netball expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating:

“We’re excited to be partnering with Play Netball, as they grow social leagues across Wales. Their mission to make netball fun, friendly and suitable for all abilities, aligns with our aim to make netball bigger than before! To ensure our sport has a place for everyone at all stages of life, social leagues are key!”

The first Wales Netball x Play Netball League will be kicking off in Llanrwst on the 11th  February. Matches will take place every Tuesday from 7–9pm at Dyffryn Conwy Leisure Centre in their indoor sports hall.
