Wales Netball search for young members to join their newly created ‘Forward Futures Collective’

A second application window for the Forward Futures Collective has reopened, as we’re still looking for candidates from specific regions:

  • North East Wales
  • Powys
  • West Wales
  • Glamorgan Valleys

If you’re passionate about netball, have the skills and drive to make a difference, and want to enhance your CV – then read on below, to find out more.

The Wales Netball ‘Forward Futures Collective’ will be a group of young members between the ages of 16 and 25, put together to advise staff and Board Members on important matters regarding the future of netball in Wales.

Currently, 75% of the membership of Wales Netball are 25 years of age or younger – so it’s integral that we understand what matters to them!

The Collective will have three key objectives:

  1. Guide: Challenge, advise and provide insight on WN strategic plan, and act as a ‘Focus Group’ regarding ongoing projects across the organisation, using the youth voice to guide Wales Netball.
  2. Amplify: Communicate the perspectives and experiences of young people involved in netball across Wales, taking extra care to amplify the voices of those from minoritised localities, backgrounds and demographics.
  3. Champion: Act as ambassadors of Netball, championing the work of Wales Netball in and beyond the netball community to help make Netball in Wales, Bigger, Better and Bolder!

If you or anyone you know are interested in becoming a member of the ‘Forward Futures Collective’, applications are open now and will close at midday on the 8th April 2024. Head to our vacancies page now to find out how to apply, or for more information, please contact keira.edwards@walesnetball.com
