Welsh Netball is pleased to share the news that several of its senior squad athletes are going to be hosting a digital Question & Answer session ahead of 2020 A-level and GCSE results being released.
On Tuesday 11 August at 7pm, Wales’ Suzy Drane, Kyra Jones, Bethan Dyke, Carys Allen and Ella Porter will host the digital Q&A via Zoom. The session will be free for Welsh Netball members and is designed to help give some advice, information and guidance to young netballers who will be receiving their A-levels and GCSEs in the coming weeks. Welsh Netball members can register for the session by clicking here. Reigstration will close at 5pm on Monday 10 August and attendees will receive a Zoom invitation via email ahead of the session. Spaces are limited so members who are interested are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
We welcome attendees from across our membership who are interested in learning more about their options for after they finish school. Our athletes have a wide range of experience in education and they can give you advice on both educational and vocational options for when you get your results. They can also help give some words of wisdom to those who are worried about what their results may mean for them as well as advise aspiring young netballers on how they can combine netball with study and work. Depending on numbers of attendees, the session will either allow for direct questioning, or, utilise a chat box function for question submissions.
Suzy Drane, currently Wales co-captain, who has represented Wales over 100 times, is a senior lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Kyra Jones, herself with over 50 Welsh appearances, is Head of Netball at Cardiff & Vale College. Bethan Dyke, another Welsh senior squad veteran, has recently graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University and now works as a teacher, balancing her work with a career in the Vitality Netball Supereleague. Carys Allen was part of Wales U21’s successful 2019 Netball Europe campaign and is a recent Cardiff Met student. Ella Porter is a new member of the Wales senior squad, playing her netball for Llantrisant NC she studies and plays netball for Millfield School.

No, providing you are using the same device to take part in the session, you will only need to register one member.
- When will I receive my Zoom invitation?
Your invitation will be sent to the email address on your account after the deadline for registration closes.
- Will I need a Zoom account?
No, you will not need a Zoom account to take part in the session.
- If I am late to the session, will I need to email to gain access?
You will not need to email to gain access, simply follow the link in the Zoom invitation, and you will entre the waiting room where you will be approved to access the session.
- If my internet goes down during the session, what should I do?
Click on the invitation link again and you will re-enter the session.
