Wales to face Team Bath in Ebbw Vale

Welsh Netball is thrilled to be bringing top-class elite netball to Ebbw Vale as part of #NetballNovember!

Wales will be facing Vitality Netball Superleague franchise, Team Bath in an extended match at the Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre on 18 November 2017. The teams will face off in six 15-minute periods in what promises to be an intense Anglo-Welsh affair! It will be a great opportunity for our fans to see the Welsh players in action prior to the Commonwealth Games next year.

Prior to the match there will also be a Wales fanzone where our passionate supporters can get autographs, selfies and some world-class netball advice from our players.

Tickets will be charged at £10 per adult and £6 per child and entry to the fanzone and the match are both included in this. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.ticketline.co.uk/welsh-netball

Rosie Pretorius, Welsh Netball’s Head of Performance is excited about the squad’s trip to Blaenau Gwent. She said: “We are extremely excited to be taking the Wales squad to Ebbw Vale to face Team Bath on Saturday 18 November. We always receive a fantastic welcome at the Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre and we are hoping for a sell out crowd to really get behind our girls!”

She added: “This is an important game in the Welsh squads’ preparations for the Commonwealth Games with 6 lots of 15 minute quarters being played to work on new combinations. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to get the team out in the community to meet with their young fans who will have the opportunity to get autographs and photos with the Commonwealth Games long squad.”

The match is part of a month-long focus on netball across Wales. #NetballNovember seeks to highlight some of the great netball events that take place across Wales, at a range of ages and skill-levels. Welsh Netball is dedicated to increasing netball participation across the nation and believes passionately in the power of netball to tackle inactivity and promote a healthy lifestyle.
