Wales U17 Compete in England’s NPL Tournament

Wales Under 17 recently traveled to Nottingham to compete in England Netball’s end of season ‘Netball Performance League’ tournament.

The squad has been hard at work in recent weeks, both on and off the court. They have been busy fundraising for the tournament which comes after their very successful Netball Europe 2019 campaign, where they won silver.

The young squad faced a very different challenge this time round, starting the tournament against last year’s victors, Manchester Thunder and midlands powerhouse Wasps. Despite some tough encounters, the team developed through the weekend and gained invaluable experience of attritional tournament format netball.

Welsh Netball would like to congratulate all of the players for their efforts and thank the voluntary coaching staff for all of their hard work. Wales U17 will now return to training ahead of the 2019/20 season with some new faces added to the squad for the coming year.
