Wales Netball

On Saturday 15th March our Wales U19 and U21 squads travelled to Glasgow to face Scotland U19 and U21.
The first match of the day was Wales U19 v Scotland U19. The game was well contested with nothing separating the two teams in the early minutes, but it was Scotland who took the lead at half time 27-25. After the break, Wales brought it back with the third quarter ending at 37-40 in our favour. Wales U19 then extended their lead in the final quarter, winning the game 45-57.
Next was the turn of the Wales U21 squad, with the scores at half time being 28-23 to Scotland. Wales U21 kept the pressure on the hosts for the second half, but Scotland came out winners with a final score of 51-45.
Overall, it was a great experience for the teams and will help with Wales’ preparation for the Netball World Youth Cup in September.
