Wales U21 Netball World Youth Cup Long Squad

We are pleased to announce the selection of our Wales U21 Long Squad for the Netball World Youth Cup (NWYC) which will take place in Gibraltar in September 2025.

The Wales U21 Long Squad will be led by Head Coach Sarah Lewis, supported by Assistant Coach Jen Barrett, with Team Manager Cerys Rees and Physiotherapist Angharad Llion. The competition will take place in Gibraltar from 19th September to 28th September. Full details of the competition can be found here.

Words from our Head Coach, Sarah Lewis: “As head coach of Wales U21 Netball, I’m delighted to announce the selection of our long squad for the highly anticipated Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar. After extensive evaluation and consideration, we have chosen a diverse group of 30 talented athletes, spanning from U17 to U21. Each member of this squad has demonstrated not only exceptional skill on the court but also unwavering dedication and determination throughout our rigorous selection process.

Our focus now shifts to the next phase: intensive preparation. With the support of our coaching staff and management,  and the commitment of these athletes, we are poised to embark on a journey of growth and achievement. The Netball World Youth Cup presents an incredible opportunity for these young players to showcase their abilities on an international platform, representing the future of Welsh netball with pride and passion. I am confident that this squad will showcase the best of Wales Netball on the global stage”
