We are excited to announce the 12 athletes selected to compete in the Europe Netball Competition.

The competition is due to be held in the Isle of Man from the 12th to the 14th of November this year.

The chosen team is made up from talented athletes who have progressed through the pathway at various levels.

The squad combines of athletes that have represented Wales at U17 Netball Europe, long squads, and at U21 Netball Europe in 2019 where we achieved a silver medal.

The following athletes have been selected:

Ellie Blackwell

Millie Carter

Alanah Heath Drury

Charlotte Jennings-Evans (vice-captain)

Megan Evans

Nia Evans (captain)

Ellice Gallagher

Beca Hughes

Catrin Hughes

Ella Porter

Sarie Watkins

Nan Williams

Speaking about her squad, U21 Head Coach Nikki Lloyd said “The squad will be led by a leadership group of captain Nia Evans and vice-captain, Charlotte Jennings-Evans, who will be supported by future leaders Ellie Blackwell and Alanah Heath-Drury”

“They have all demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and strong leadership skills throughout the last 18 months and beyond.”

Nikki said “I am delighted to finalise the 12 athletes selected to represent Wales Netball at the U21 Netball Europe competition in November.”

“This group of athletes have shown incredible resilience, patience and determination throughout the challenge of 2020 and all the disappointments they have experienced.”

“This talented group has a fantastic blend of athletes who all bring different strengths to the group”

“I am excited to see them bring them together and finalise our preparations in a couple weeks time, and to see them put their hard work to the test back on the European stage after a two-year break.”

The team will travel to the Isle of Man on the 11th of November. We wish them the best of luck.
