Commenting on the selection of Wales’ 2019/20 Under 17 squad, Head of Performance Rachel Bayley said: “We’re delighted to announce the U17 Wales national long squad. The players have been assessed by the national coaches over the past few weeks and I am looking forward to seeing what they are capable of.”
She added: “This squad is about creating the right learning and development environment and providing opportunities in readiness to become a senior player for Wales – so all of these young athletes have a very exciting 12 months of learning and development ahead of them!”
The 2020 Netball Europe Under 17 Open Championships are currently scheduled for 6-8 March 2020 and will be the feature tournament of Wales U17’s season.
