As the Welsh Feathers now turn their attention towards World Cup qualification, Wales Netball can confirm that Reinga Bloxham will take on the role of Interim Head Coach, supported by Sarah Lewis as Interim Assistant Coach for the World Cup Qualifiers in September.
Reinga currently serves as Head Coach of the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Dragons and was recently named Netball Super League Coach of the Year 2026, following a standout season in which the Dragons finished fifth, their highest league position and points tally since 2014.
Her leadership has helped establish a strong performance culture within Wales’ only Netball Super League team, with the Dragons’ progress and individual player performances receiving recognition across the league.
Alongside her Dragons role, Reinga also served as Team Manager and Specialist Coach for the Welsh Feathers at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, providing recent experience within the national team environment and continuity as the programme prepares for its next international challenge.
Sarah Lewis also brings significant knowledge of the Welsh performance environment, having previously served as Welsh Feathers Assistant Coach before moving into her role as U21/23 National Academy Head Coach.
Together, Reinga and Sarah will lead preparations for the World Cup Qualifiers in Glasgow in September, providing continuity and stability during this important phase of the international programme.

They arrive at a moment when the squad needs strong, experienced leadership and a clear sense of purpose, and I have every confidence they will bring both. The World Cup qualifiers in September are our immediate focus and we are determined to approach them with everything we have. Reinga knows this programme and these players well, and that continuity matters enormously right now.
“Our search for a full-time Head Coach continues as part of our Ymladd 2030 ambitions, and we are committed to finding the right person to take this programme forward. In the meantime, the squad is in excellent hands.”

We know we have one shot at this, so will be throwing everything at it to ensure we qualify.”
The interim coaching team will take responsibility for the Welsh Feathers through the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers in Glasgow in September, with preparations beginning immediately.
Wales Netball now commence recruitment for a permanent Welsh Feathers Head Coach, who will lead the programme into its next long-term chapter as the organisation continues to deliver against the ambitions of its Ymladd 2030 strategy.
