Welsh Netball Announce Full Time Coach.

Welsh Netball is delighted to announce Trish Wilcox as the full time Head Coach of Wales and the Celtic Dragons.

Over the past 18 months, Trish’s role as Head of Elite Performance has seen growth and development throughout the performance pathway.
Trish Wilcox joined the Welsh Netball family in November 2014, returning home to Wales from New Zealand where she had been coaching for over 20 years.

“I am very excited to be able to focus on my full time coaching role with Wales and the Celtic Dragons,” says Trish.

Sarah Jones CEO said, ‘The organisation is now in a position to enable Trish to fully concentrate on her coaching role. This is an exciting development on the performance side of the organisation. To enable someone of Trishs calibre to focus on coaching will be of huge benefit to the sport in Wales’

As a result of Wilcox dedicating her time to coaching, Welsh Netball will soon be advertising for a new strategic Head of Performance position. The Head of Performance will work closely with the Wales and Celtic Dragons Head Coach, as well as the soon to be appointed Celtic Dragons Commercial and Operations Manager.

Wilcox said “I am looking forward to working alongside the new Head of Performance. Over the past eighteen months working throughout the Welsh Netball pathway, it is clear that there is so much potential here in Wales.

“It can only benefit our netball communities to have these two dedicated performance roles.”
