Welsh Netball looks forward to announcing its Commonwealth Games squad later this week, following the arrival of Interim Head Coach, Julie Hoornweg.
Wales will be competing in Pool B at the Commonwealth Games against the likes of New Zealand, England, Scotland, Malawi and Uganda in what promises to be a tough but exciting tournament.
Hoornweg (left in picture) arrives from Australia with a wealth of experience in both international and franchise netball. She has enjoyed spells with England and Fiji, as well as enjoying success at Melbourne Vixens in a career that has seen her awarded numerous awards and accolades.
Hoornweg will be in charge of Wales at the upcoming 2018 Commonwealth Games where she will be aided by Interim Assistant Coach, Natalie Peperell (picutred right) and Interim Team Manager, Lavinia Baker. Both Hoornweg and Peperell will hold the same positions with Celtic Dragons, with Louvain Lake as Team Manager.
