Welsh Netball’s DTC tournament 2016 results.

Welsh Netball held its Development Training Centre (DTC) tournament within the Gemau Cymru event again this year. On Saturday, 2 July, fourteen teams from within the DTC programme played netball at a fun and exciting tournament.

Teams were split into two pools – Pool A and Pool B.

Congratulations to North East Wales A team who were announced winners of Pool A.  Well done
to runners up of Pool A – Afan Nedd Tawe team, who were just one point below the winners.  Congratulations also go to Pool B champions Cardiff and Vale team B. Runners up were Glamorgan Valleys B team.

Welsh Netball’s Selectors were also present at the event.  The Selectors were there to identify
future talent within the teams from across the country. If chosen, the players would go along to participate in trials for Wales’ Under 17 or Under 21 squads.

It was a fantastic day of skilfully played netball.  Diolch yn fawr iawn – a big thank you to Gemau Cymru for the opportunity to showcase competitive netball at such a prestigious event.   We are very proud to be working in partnership with the Urdd and to be a part of the event once more.
