Introduction to National Academy

Wales Netball's National Academy is the home of our age -grade performance athletes from which we select our Wales Development, U21, U19, U17 & U15 Squads for international competition. Wales Netball aspires to create a sustainable over- supply of athletes via its Performance Pathway for its National Squads, and our National Academy squads are vital in ensuring this success. Wales Netball will support our National Academy Coaches, and Team Managers to ensure consistency, and to ensure that the ‘Welsh Way’ is embedded throughout the age groups. This will aid our coaches to develop athletes who can transition smoothly into the Welsh Feathers Squad.
