Coaching | What qualification do I need?
In the past, to be insured to lead the majority of netball sessions you needed to have had a Level 2 coaching qualification. Wales Netball realises that obtaining a Level 2 qualification can be time-consuming and expensive if you do not have access to funding. We also recognise that there are some fantastic netball deliverers in Wales who have a lot of knowledge and experience but may not hold the Level 2 qualification. Therefore, we have produced a set of standards that a coach must meet in order to deliver the relevant netball sessions. Please refer to the table below to identify that netball environment that you coach in and then look at the qualifications required.
If you have any questions or need qualifications clarified, please contact our Workforce Co-ordinator Sue Williams via email: sue.williams@walesnetball.com
