During February half-term, Welsh Netball was pleased to be able to collaborate with Dragons Rugby to put on a Girls Netball & Rugby Camp in Cwmbran Stadium.
The camp was very well supported by girls from across the Dragons’ Gwent region. The young netball and rugby players in attendance benefited from developing transferable physical skills from across both sports and engaged in a range of movement, passing and shooting drills throughout the day.
There was also a special surprise from Wales and Celtic Dragons legend, Bethan Dyke who came to meet the participants and present them with some Dragons Rugby goodies!
Netball Development Officer, Laura Rees was also in attendance and shared her thoughts on the day. She said: “It was great to see a partnership in action as we teamed up with Dragons on this camp. The participants had a great day, diversifying their skill set between two of Wales’ most popular sports and meeting Bethan at the end was the icing on the cake!”
