Tactix players join Celtic Flames for Netball New Zealand’s Super Club.

The newly formed Celtic Flames will welcome Anna Thompson and Temalisi Fakahokotau, both from Silvermoon Tactix as their final players in their squad of twelve.

As with VNSL, NNZ Super Club rules allow for teams to include international players in their squad. Thompson and Fakahokotau will join the Flames directly from their ANZ season and Head coach Trish Wilcox is planning on integrating both players quickly into their new team.
“The team are excited to have Anna and Temalisi complete our squad. Both players bring international and ANZ experience to the team which will complement the Celtic Flames squad. I am looking forward to working with Anna and Temalisi to utilise their strengths within the team as we challenge the opposition from across the globe.”

Anna Thompson made her Silver Ferns debut in 2009 after stepping up from the NWYC gold-medal winning NZU21 team. A true utility player, Thompson covers WA, GA and GS bringing great diversity along with her experience.
Temalisi Fakahokotau debuted for the Silver Ferns in 2014 and made the move to Tactix this year following three seasons with the Northern Mystics. Impressive athleticism and natural talent make Fakahokotau a formidable defender.

The Super Club event will be held at the 1662-seat capacity Trafalgar Centre and all games will be broadcast live on SKY Sport 4.  The Celtic Flames have been drawn into Pool B with two of these qualifying ANZ teams, and Marama Vou from Fiji.
