Outdoor Children’s Netball to Resume

Following the latest Welsh Government announcement we are glad to be able to move forward with the resumption of modified outdoor children’s netball for those clubs that have completed the #NetsGetReady Checklist and schools who have familiarised themselves with the modified rules of netball.

Outdoor modified netball for under 18s can begin from Saturday 27 March and should only be delivered to groups of 30 under 18s per outdoor netball court. If there are multiple groups of 30 in the same outdoor venue they must enter and leave separately (via separate gates where possible) and the adults involved in delivering the session cannot cross over from one group to the next within a session. Please ensure hands and equipment are sanitised every 15 minutes and that 2 meter social distancing is maintained during these breaks. Registers of attendees must be taken and all participants must agree to a symptoms statement before they enter the playing area (as per Welsh Netball’s COVID Officer Training.)

Please note that only netball training is permitted at this stage. There are to be no fixtures arranged with other clubs/schools at this stage, the focus for these sessions should be on safely refreshing basic netball skills and a steady return to play within training groups. We have designed sessions to help achieve this below.

We are hoping for more news regarding a return to modified netball for adults in the next Welsh Government review cycle on Thursday 22 April. Adult clubs should use this time to remind themselves of the modified rules and ensure they have completed the NetsGetReady Checklist.
